Carson SC-1002 w/ Light Controls

The SC-1002 Volunteer 100-watt siren with light controls was designed with the volunteer firefighter in mind. The SC-1002 Volunteer siren features two 3-position rocker switches to select between wail, yelp, manual, and mechanical tone. Two push buttons for air-horn and phaser with the European HiLo/two-tone sound as an optional substitute. The siren also features the Horn Ring Cycler (HRC2) function that enables the driver hands-free control of the siren by cycling through the tones with the vehicles horn. Two lighted rocker switches are also included for controlling emergency lights.

The Federal Signal MS4000 series mini-siren is advanced, efficient, and economical. It offers value-packed, reliable performance with effective traffic clearing capability. Years of design and manufacturing experience have made Federal Signal the leader in the electronic siren marketplace. Reliability is increased and operating temperature is decreased with the use of advanced rail circuitry and low-loss FET design arrangement. Efficiency and versatility are built-in features of the MS4000. This mini-siren comes with its own bracket and can be mounted virtually anywhere because of its compact size and lightweight construction. MS4000 mini-sirens provide 100-watt output and meet Class A requirements when paired with any Federal Signal speaker. This minisiren can operate from any 12-volt negative ground vehicle electrical system. It is protected against failure modes, including reversed polarity, by a fuse that can be replaced without tools. The MS4000 can be powered via the vehicle’s power distribution center or directly from the vehicle’s battery. Wail, Yelp, Priority, Manual, and Air Horn are all standard on the MS4000. Two rocker switches control all the siren functions. One switch controls AIR HORN/MANUAL, and the other controls WAIL/YELP. The AIR HORN/MANUAL switch rests in the neutral (center) position and activates a function when momentarily placed into the up or down position. The WAIL/YELP switch is a three-position switch with the center position being neutral. A new, built-in intersection clearing feature adds effective traffic management capability at potentially hazardous crossings. When the MS4000 is activated and in the WAIL position, depressing the momentary switch to the MANUAL position produces an eight-second Yelp tone. When the MS4000 is activated and in the YELP position, depressing the momentary switch to the MANUAL position produces an eight-second Priority tone. The MS4000U is designed especially for the undercover officer and volunteer firefighters. Siren functions are activated in the same manner as the standard MS4000, but from switches mounted onto a small, remote switch panel.

This 200-watt siren is engineered to meet Class A specifications and can drive twohigh-powered 100-watt speakers. Designed for easy installation, the PA4000 consists of an amplifier unit, flush mount control head, and RJ-45 wire to connect the two components. The PA4000 has a unique diagnostic feature that checks for abnormal operation of the speaker system. Two LEDs light up to indicate speaker operation during test mode. The siren emits an intermittent low-level sound that is picked up through the speakers and causes the LEDs to flash when the sound is successfully transmitted. The PA4000 includes an AUX/IN feature that will place the siren in Wail mode when in Manual. The AUX/OUT feature drives an external relay that may be used tocontrol warning lights.
